Steps to follow when returning Apple Products back or sent for repair

  2. Do not forget to synchronize your device with iTunes.
  3. Data backup is the most important thing so, do it before sending for repair.
  4. Take a backup of you iMessages using settings option.
  5.  Erase all the data of your apple device. Follow the below steps for this procedure:   Go to settings- General
         Tap on reset option
          If you are using ios version more than 7.0 then it will ask for password (if enabled)
         Erase all content & settings
         Once again it will ask for confirmation, just confirm it.
         Enter apple id and password to remove an account from the device.

  6. Just confirm that your apple product is off by properly by checking activation lock status.
  7.  If your device has protective film then just remove it.
