Intel is
introducing new technology in coming year for laptops that can charge
automatically without wires or power bricks. The technology involves simplicity
for charging like detecting wi-fi network only. The company is supposed to
launch this technology especially for restaurants, cafes, airports and other
public places for the ease of consumers as they can recharge their laptops
without power bricks.
Intel is
using advanced charging wireless technology which is based on the mechanism of
magnetic resonance by Rezence. Initially, the technology will be limited to
hybrid and ultraportables which can recharge wirelessly. It will be applicable
initially only to recharge mainstream laptops by increased power output and
later will be applied for public and entertainment places. Some of the cafes
are currently using wireless technology of charging for tablets, smart phones
and later on willing to add laptop in it as well.
The company
is also willing to connect the laptop wirelessly to an external display that
would reduce the cost of expensive display ports or cables. The update of
technology states that when the laptop will be in range, a wireless display
will start their work. This can be useful for meeting rooms or class rooms
where one laptop will be able to connect with multiple wireless monitors on
multiple desks.
